World Travel @ Bell HS

Galapagos 2011 and beyond:

Our planning now shifts to the proposed trip for next spring to the Galapagos Islands. This beautiful tropical archipelago was the first UN world heritage site and is the location that inspired Charles Darwin to write On the Origin of Species. We would travel through Quito, Ecuador, where we would spend a couple of days to see local landmarks, and even to straddle the equator. We have already begun collecting applications. If you are considering this trip please get your application materials in as soon as possible. Meetings will be held starting in September. Interested students are encouraged to provide their application forms and initial deposit of $250 to either Ms. Hall or to Mr. Ruttan.

Our longer term plans for travel include Spain, in 2010, and Japan, in 2013. Students interested in these trips are encouraged to listen for meetings dates and times starting this fall. Students may enroll up to two years in advance to reduce the monthly payments by spreading the cost over a greater period of time. Please see Mr. MacGregor for either of these proposed trips. The Bell Bruin veterans parade flag proudly shown as Groesbeek for the "Silent Parade" marking May 4th, and at the Wageningen "Liberation Day" parade for the veterans on May 5th. Thanks to Dr. Robin Beardsley for all of her kind support in making the banner possible.
