Student Services
Student Services at Bell includes Guidance and Career Education, Cooperative Education and Special Education. Our team includes guidance counselors, learning support teachers, educational assistants, an office assistant, guidance technician, multicultural liaison officer (MLO), psychologist and social worker. We also liaise with many other community agencies and organizations. A list is available in Student Services.
Our job depends very much upon your needs. Our specific role is to help you answer questions and explore alternatives to problems which arise during your time at Bell High School. Come see us for help or information.
Educational Counseling - we can help you:
- Select your secondary school courses
- Fix a problem with your timetable
- Deal with difficulties in learning, studying or organizing your time
- Develop an educational plan to suit your abilities, interests and goals that considers educational and career opportunities following graduation
- Navigate the college or university application process
Career Counseling - we can help you:
- Explore your options and suitability for various careers
- Find sources of information on careers
- Use programs like co-op to expand your knowledge of the world of work
- Find part-time, full-time or summer employment
- Learn what you need to know to get and keep a job
Personal Counseling - we can help you:
- Learn more about yourself and others
- Deal with personal concerns, whatever their origin, and come up with alternatives
- Facilitate connections with other agencies and orgainzations that may be able to help

Gifted Program
Bell is one of a few schools in the OCDSB home to an integrated gifted program, as a contination of the program starting in grade 3. Qualifying students may take courses at the gifted level rather than at the standard level, with many courses offered each grade. More Information »
