This is a grade 12 course. This course is a Interdisciplinary Studies course. If this is a Computer Science course, more information can be found at the Math, Business and Computer Science department. Otherwise, it falls under the scope of Student Services. Prerequisites: ICS3M.
Course Description
This course helps students use programming and software engineering principles to design and develop algorithms and programs. Students will use software development and diagnostic tools, implement data structures and algorithms, and use file management techniques in project settings. They will also develop an understanding of the ethics of computer use and the impact of information technology on the community and will explore post-secondary education and career paths in computer science.
This course is a university or college preparation course. This course will focus by giving students skills relevant to both university and college settings, and their associated careers. Both theoretical and application-based learning methods are used for the course content.
