General Information
This is a grade 11 course. This course is part of Business Studies, which at Bell High School is in the Math, Business and Computer Science department. Prerequisites: None.
Course Description
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of product marketing, which includes the marketing of goods, services, and events. Students will examine how trends, issues, global economic changes, and information technology influence consumer buying habits. Students will engage in marketing research, develop marketing strategies, and produce a marketing plan for a product of their choice.
This course is a college preparation course, which will prepare students for most college programs and their related careers. This course will use concrete examples of theoretical material, as well as emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, independent learning and learning skills.
