General Information
This is a grade 10 course. This course is part of Business Studies, which at Bell High School is in the Math, Business and Computer Science department. Prerequisites: None.
Course Description
This course introduces students to the world of business. Students will develop an understanding of the functions of business, including accounting, marketing, information technology, human resources, production, and of the importance of ethics and social responsibility. This course builds a foundation for further studies in business and helps students develop the business knowledge and skills they will need in their everyday lives. Prerequisite: None
This course is an ESL course. Those participating in the ESL program may choose to take this course. For the standard English course, see BBI2O.
This course is an open course, having one set of expectations and being appropriate for all students in a given grade. This course prepares students for more advanced classes in later years, or for a university, college or workplace setting. This course may not reflect a student's post-secondary goals, but are still relevant to everyone regardless of their post-secondary plans.
