General Information
This is a grade 12 course. This course is in the arts subject, which at Bell High School is in the Fine Arts department. Prerequisites: AVI3M.
Course Description
This course focuses on the refi nement of students? skills and knowledge in visual arts. Students will analyse art forms, use theories of art in analysing and producing art, and increase their understanding of stylistic changes in modern and contemporary Western art, Canadian (including Native Canadian) art, and art forms from various parts of the world. Students will produce a body of work demonstrating a personal approach.
This course is a university or college preparation course. This course will focus by giving students skills relevant to both university and college settings, and their associated careers. Both theoretical and application-based learning methods are used for the course content.
