General Information
This is a grade 12 course. This course is in the arts subject, which at Bell High School is in the Fine Arts department. Prerequisites: ATC3M.
Course Description
This course emphasizes the development of technical proficiency and the creation and presentation of complex compositions. Students will acquire increasingly difficult technical skills; assume leadership as dancers, choreographers, and production personnel; analyse and evaluate dance performances; and study historical and cultural aspects of dance, especially of dance in Canada.
This course is a university or college preparation course. This course will focus by giving students skills relevant to both university and college settings, and their associated careers. Both theoretical and application-based learning methods are used for the course content.
