General Information
This is a grade 11 course. This course is in the arts subject, which at Bell High School is in the Fine Arts department. Prerequisites: ADA1O or ADA2O.
Course Description
This course requires students to create and to perform dramatic presentations. Students will analyse, interpret, and perform works of drama from various cultures, including western plays from around 1900. Students will also do research on different acting styles and conventions for their presentations, create original works, and analyse the functions of playwright, director, actor, producer, designer, technician, and audience.
This course is a university or college preparation course. This course will focus by giving students skills relevant to both university and college settings, and their associated careers. Both theoretical and application-based learning methods are used for the course content.
