Hello,
In the event of an OC Transpo service disruption, schools will remain open as usual and yellow bus service will continue. Given the last minute nature of this potential labour action and while contingency plans are being developed these plans cannot be implemented at this time. Where feasible, parents should make alternate arrangements for their children to travel to school. Remember that hitchhiking is not a safe option.
Parents of students, including those using yellow buses, should be aware that there will be increased traffic congestion across the district and this may result in delays to scheduled yellow bus routes. Plesae take this into account when accompanying your children to their bus stop or in any alternate transportation arrangements you make. If you plan to drive your children to school, please consider carpooling.
When arriving at Bell HS, please follow the one-way traffic pattern at the front of the school. New barriers and cones will be in place to help direct traffic. The school will be open at 6:30 a.m. but there will be no supervision. We will also keep the school open in the evening to allow for later pickup, however supervision is not feasible during these later hours.
Sincerely,
Bruce Whitehead – Principal
Hello,
Please see the attached letter from the Dr. Lyall Thomson, Director of Education for the OCDSB regarding the OC Transpo Strike potentially beginning Dec. 10, 2008. Talks are continuing and we do hope a settlement is reached by the deadline so that no disruption to students and their families occurs.

Hello,
What a performance! Bell HS’s musical, Hot Mikado, completed its four night stand this past Saturday to another sold out audience. My personal congratulations go out to the cast and crew for their outstanding performances, all a testament to their countless hours of hard work and dedication. Congratulations are also extended to the following four individuals who were instrumental in putting together this wonderful production:
Mr. Perry Van Allen                             Director
Mrs. Meredith Ward                            Musical Director
Mr. Tim Stanutz                                   Band Director
Mr. Thomas Sparks                              Producer
Behind the scenes there are so many people to thank in many areas including set designers, costume designers, tech crew, carestaff, ticket sales, and refreshment sales. I would also like to remind everyone that this year also featured the musical and Bell HS students as members of the Cappies. We look forward to these student reviews through the Citizen in the days and weeks to come.
